I know you must have been wondering what I meant by “online basket”.

Hold on, I’ll tell you…

Social media and the internet is gradually taken over the world. DO YOU AGREE?

For instance, yesterday, the whole world standstill for a while and couldn’t access Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram for over 7 hours.

Everyone was bored.

Almost everyone keeps checking his WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram account to know if the apps are back online. Some people, including myself, rebooted our phones several times.

Family and Friends were calling each other to keep in touch instead of the normal texting on social media.

Do you know how many persons got stranded, lost businesses and scheduled meetings, even people in long distance relationship or marriage could not connect to themselves yesterday to chat and call etc.

Mark Zuckerberg reportedly lost over 7 billions of dollars just for that few hours.

Just imagine a world without Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram?

Can you survive without them? 

We all know how much people rely on social media to stay connected with the people we care about, to do business and to get informations.

Now let’s talk about the primary subject matter. Why You Must Not Put Your Eggs In One “Online Basket”.

The reason why Facebook WhatsApp and Instagram shutdown same time is because they were hosted on same server.

QUESTION:

Why would Mark Zuckerberg host three giant social networks on same server (One Online Basket)?

Had it been they were hosted separately, one or two among the three would have been live and running.

You get the point now?

See ehn, we are living in internet age. No matter how strong your security is, it could be broken/compromised by hackers. It just a matter of time. Lol
