What Is The Difference Between A Soldier & A Corp Member NYSC? (SEE THIS)

By now, I believe you must have seen the trending video of a Nigerian female Soldier, caught on camera, dehumanising, bathing a female corp member with unknown substance.

See Photos Below 👇

A female army officer identified as Lt. Chika Viola Anele, has been caught on camera punishing a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Ezeiruaku Ifeyinwa Fidelia in Cross River State after an alleged argument between the duo.

According to a Nigerian journalist and human rights activist, Agba Jalingo, who shared the video on his Facebook page on Thursday, the incident happened at the 13 Brigade headquarters in Calabar.

In the video, the officer is seen pouring an unknown white substance on the kneeling corps member after which she hit her with a bowl.

WHY? Because youth corps member had an argument with her (Lt. Chika Viola Anele).

==============================

What Is National Youth Service Corps All About?

The National Youth Service Corps is a program set up by the Nigerian government to involve Nigerian graduates in nation building and the development of the country.

NYSC was created on 22 May 1973 as an avenue for the reconciliation, reconstruction, and rebuilding of the nation after the civil war.

It was established based on decree No. 24 that stated that the scheme was created “with a view to the proper encouragement and development of common ties among the youths of Nigeria and the promotion of national unity”.

MY THOUGHTS:

This is what happen when you don’t know your right. It doesn’t matter how educated or rich you are, if don’t know your fundamental right, you’re in trouble.

==The objectives and operations of corps members (NYSC) and Nigerian soldiers, are almost the same. Just that, one is armed and the other isn’t.

I see no reason why a soldier should treat a corp member of the federal republic of Nigeria, in such manner.

As a corp member, you’re no longer a civilian within the period of time you have to serve. Don’t let any foooolish soldier intimate or oppress you in the camp.

The funny and ironic part is that, the two ladit are from the same tribe (Igbo) judging by their names. An Hausa or Yoruba soldier will never do such to his/her fellow tribe person. Nawao.

Like I said, the objectives and operations of corps member and that of Nigerian soldiers, are almost the same. Just that, one is armed and the other isn’t.

Or is there something else I don’t know?

Let’s hear from you all
