Arguably, without the yoruba, the Nigerian music industry would have been a thing of the past.
I’m not being tribalistic here because I’m not a Yoruba person. Only stating the obvious facts.
Wizkid for instance, the young man has promoted the image of the music industry and that of the country at large, more than any president, in the history of Nigeria. It’s a verifiable fact. Some times I feel we don’t deserve that young man Big Wiz.
Davido is also trying but too much controversies spoiled his game. From one baby mama drama to another.
Olamide? Bado dey try sha but still running local sh*t just like his bestie Phyno from the East. Two great local rappers.
Burnaboy? Oluwa Burna is my personal person and brother but dude ain’t doing no sh*t to project the industry globally. But I think he’s a change person now. And if you trace his root, he has a link to the Yoruba people.
