Video: Drogba Lets Rip in New York, Clashes With Fans

Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba was caught up in a scuffle with fans after his Montreal Impact side lost 1-0 to New York Red Bulls in the MLS Sunday.
It wasn’t quite as bad as Eric Cantona knocking the senses out of a fan, but it was little stronger than Mario Balotelli’s threat to beat up racially abusive fans. The Ivory Coast great obviously let his frustrations boil over after yet another defeat.
Drogba, 36, now in his second season with the Canadian outfit, charged at fans in the Big Apple after they took their celebrations a little too far.
Security was required to separate him and the fans apart before the two-time African footballer of the year, who endured a miserable night in front of goal, ultimately returned to the dressing room with team-mate Matteo Mancosu after appearing to apologise to other nearby fans.
The striker, who recently taunted Arsenal players after their 3-0 hammering of Chelsea in the Premier League, later spoke about the confrontation with TVA Sports in Montreal and insisted it was all blown a little out of proportion.
‘There were two fans who were showing their enthusiasm a little too much,’ Drogba said.
‘They crossed the line a bit, that’s all.’
Well, somebody better tell him it’s the US, and you call the cops when they cross the line. Lol
