Father Mbaka visits President Buhari in Aso Rock

Firebrand Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, on Friday visited President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential villa.

Mbaka, who is one of the most popular priests in South Eastern Nigeria, was a staunch supporter of former President Goodluck Jonathan. But few weeks to the election he renounced his support for the former president and correctly predicted that he will lose the election.

Running against the grain of his base, the South East, which was a stronghold of Mr. Jonathan, Mbaka openly declared support for Mr Buhari.

This visit is the first time both men are meeting publicly since after the election.
