Army Warns Of Boko Haram Plot To Poison Water Sources


The Nigerian Army has warned of a fresh plot by the dreaded Boko Haram sect to poison water sources in north-eastern parts of the country .

Adekunle Afolasade in a press statement called on the people in the north-east to always be vigilant.
“The command wishes to inform the general public that Boko Haram terrorists plan to buy a large quantity of rat poison and other poisonous items from markets in Nigeria to enable them poison water sources, particularly in the north-eastern states.
“The Nigerian Army Theater Command, therefore calls on the general public, particularly the market men and women vending such items to be vigilant.
The statement also urged citizens of the region to report any person buying large quantities of such commodities to security agencies.
